Why is your phone getting hot ? [ Solved ]

(toc)

What to do when the temperature of your Android rises?

When your phone gets very hot, it indicates that its processor is overworked (and needs a break), or it indicates that it has a battery problem.

Smartphones can also overheat if left in a hot car or outside, such as in suffocating weather. Here's how to identify the problem and cool down your phone.

What causes Android phones to overheat?

There are many ways to put your smartphone into overdrive, including streaming video or playing mobile games for hours. Using turn-by-turn GPS navigation can heat things up too. Your phone can also overheat if you leave it in the sun for too long. Sometimes it can become warm during charging due to poor ventilation or a faulty charger or cable. Lastly, it could be due to malware, compromised apps, or software update issues.

How to Cool Down Your Android Phone

  1. Remove the cover. If you have, give him as much breathing space as possible. Place your phone on a surface that won't retain heat and point a fan at it. If you are outside, move into the shade if possible, or better yet, enter where there is air conditioning.

  1. Turn off your phone. Keep it unplugged until it cools down. Restart your phone but don't launch any apps. If the phone starts to overheat, it can cause physical damage or clogged vents. Contact your carrier or reseller for assistance.

  1. Update software. If there is no obvious hardware issue, it could be apps or software. Delete unused applications. Check if your phone has a pending software update.

  1. Malware is always a risk. It's important to keep your device safe from malicious apps by regularly installing security updates and only downloading apps and files from trusted sources.

It can cause your phone to heat up if it runs in the background (does everything it does) and never stops until you close the app (or, better yet, uninstall it).

  1. Reboot your phone. If overheating persists, reset your smartphone to factory settings. Be sure to back up your data first, including contacts, photos, and other important information.

Avoid overheating your phone.

These issues can occur on any Android phone, even newer models, regardless of operating system or manufacturer. Just like laptops, smartphones need ventilation, especially if you use them all the time. As with any electronic device, a little maintenance goes a long way

  • Keep your phone out of the sun.
  • Don't leave your phone in a hot car.
  • Make sure that the case you are using is designed for your phone model and does not block the ventilation holes (if any).
  • While charging, keep your phone on a flat surface, not on a couch or bed. Often, the case acts as a heatsink, radiating heat away from the device. Blankets and bedding can act as insulators. Good for you, bad for your phone.
  • Keep your OS up-to-date.
